Shipping
We offer FREE shipping on all orders delivered by FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight or the most affordable available provider. Shipping times and shipping method will depend on the specific product and brand. The shipping carrier will deliver your order curbside. The carrier will NOT deliver into your home, kitchen or elsewhere. If necessary, please arrange assistance to receive your order. Please get in touch with us at (833) 600-1910 or Support@directhomeconnection.com if you'd need a more precise shipment time estimate for your order.
Large Item Delivery Information
Large items are shipped via freight. Freight delivery is different from standard shipping, so it's essential to understand the process before the delivery day.
Key Points:
- The ETA to the shipper's local depot (warehouse) is reflected in the tracking information we offer.
- For final delivery, an appointment is usually necessary, and you have to be there to sign for the delivery.
- Typically, freight deliveries are made to the curb, and it is your responsibility to move your shipment to its destination.
We do not ship to PO Boxes. Delivery for truck freight shipments typically occurs 5 to 7 business days after your order leaves the warehouse. The freight carrier will get in touch with you to arrange a delivery time when your shipment shows up at a nearby terminal.
We will send tracking information for your order immediately when it becomes available. We strongly advise you to check the status of your package online or by calling the carrier. Most businesses can offer a tentative delivery date. Reach out to us at Support@directhomeconnection.com if you have any questions or concerns.
Delivery Appointments
The freight carrier will contact the phone number you provided on the order to arrange a delivery time once the freight reaches your local terminal. The customer is in charge of contacting the carrier to arrange for the delivery. You can select an available date and time, and the carrier will indicate their open slots for delivery. Failure to schedule a delivery appointment can result in additional storage fees. Any property access concerns should be communicated to the shipper when setting the delivery appointment.
It is required that you sign at the time of delivery and remain at home for the duration of the delivery window. The shipment will be left at the curb and the delivery will be handled by a semi-truck with lift gate services. Have a plan in place to move the goods from the curb to their intended location.
Delivery Without Appointments
Without making an appointment with the carrier, you might be able to schedule delivery; in this case, you'll get an approximate delivery date rather than a precise day or window of time. Although it is preferred that you be home when your item arrives, a signature is not necessary. Whether you are there or not, the truck will still drop your pallets at the curb.
Inspection of Shipment
Upon arrival, check your cargo for any missing or damaged items. If any products are damaged or missing, call 800-600-1910 right away. After the delivery date, you have 48 hours to report any damaged goods.
Shipping to Remote Areas
There may be additional shipping costs for remote or difficult-to-reach places. Your order will be transported to a place with shipping restrictions, and you will be notified of any additional charges as soon as possible by a customer care representative.
Shipping to APO/FPO Addresses
With the limitations imposed by USPS on size, weight, and content, we do ship to APO/FPO locations. We'll get in touch with you to arrange a different delivery method if a shipment is unable to be delivered to your APO/FPO location. We'll let you know if there are any additional shipping costs for shipments to APOs or FPOs.
Incorrect Addresses & Failed Freight Deliveries
Should an item be dispatched and returned as a result of a wrong address, you will bear the whole expense of shipping. A freight shipment will be deemed a return and will be governed by our return policy if the freight operator is unable to deliver the package to your address.
